Charlotte Shortlisted for Prestigious Award

A property developer has been shortlisted as Woman of the Year for the esteemed Inspiring Women in Property Awards.

The awards have been created to honour the people, teams and firms empowering women in the property workplace and recognise the role models inspiring the next generation.

Finalists include individuals and teams who have helped to tackle gender imbalance and breakdown barriers in the workplace.

Throughout her four-year career in property development, Charlotte has consistently demonstrated a passion for excellence and an unwavering commitment to driving positive change in the industry. Through Instagram @accidentalfemaledeveloper, she aims to encourage women to join her in a property and construction industry currently dominated by men with her down-to-earth look at life as a developer.

Her innovative approach has not only brought tangible success to her late father’s business; Dennis Edwards Homes, based in Shropshire, but has also inspired colleagues, peers, and aspiring professionals around the UK and beyond.

With a series of professional speaking engagements around the UK, work with local schools and colleges and the use of social media, Charlotte continues to inspire future generations of female property professionals.

"I am deeply honoured to be shortlisted for the Inspiring Women in Property Awards," Charlotte expressed. "This recognition underscores the significance of diversity and empowerment within the property sector. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Property Week and the esteemed judging panel for this recognition."

Charlotte has been a driving force behind numerous successful projects, contributing to the growth and development of the property landscape. Her leadership and mentorship have encouraged and guided aspiring professionals to pursue rewarding careers within the industry.

Stephanie Denton, head of content at Property Week, said: “Congratulations to everyone who made this year’s shortlist. It is clear from the entries there are so many inspirational women working in the sector and fantastic initiatives under way tackling gender imbalance and EDI. We look forward to seeing the finalists at the awards evening in October.”
